Survivor Sea Dragons taking the win in Dragon Boat Competition

Team Survivor Sea Dragons compete all over the U.S. in dragon boat competitions. The team members, who also love to hike, were looking for a new and different competition in which to partake, when they came upon A16's SoCal Trifecta, a fun challenge in which participants do a human-powered activity in the ocean, snow and desert, all within 24 hours.

Game on!

The Sea Dragons are a group of cancer survivors of various ages, backgrounds, and athletic abilities who share the same goal:  to enhance their own physical fitness through the sport of dragon boat racing.

As the team's website explains, "For those unfamiliar with the sport of dragon boating, simply put, it is a boat of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steers person paddling to cross the finish line faster than their competition. It is a team sport in its purest form that encompasses the elements of power, speed, synchronization and endurance."
