PARTNER EVENT: Temescal Creek Day Hike and Bioblitz--FREE!

Posted by Adventure 16 | 07.06.2016

Are you looking for adventure here in San Diego County? Well look no further! The San Diego River Park Foundation has the perfect opportunity for you!

Volunteers are needed to assist with surveying the Foundation’s newest property acquisition- the 75 acre Temescal Creek Gateway. This property is of critical importance as it holds the start of Temescal Creek and together with the 299 Eagle Peak Ranch acquisition protects the Temescal Creek drainage, a significant headwaters tributary to the San Diego River.  Help us explore the property, look for boundary markers and survey for native grasses, wildflowers, insects and more using iNaturalist.

No experience is necessary. The views and open space are not to be missed! Carpooling opportunities available.

Date:  Saturday, August 13th
Event Location: 5030 Eagle Peak Rd., Julian, CA 92036
Event Fee:  Free
Time:  9 am – 1 pm
Partner Organization: San Diego River Park Foundation
