EVENT: Whitney in a Day Clinic--FREE!

Posted by Adventure 16 | 05.01.2019

Jack Northam, who will be 72 years-old on June 1, has been to the summit 183 times--including four summits from Lone Pine and back (45 miles)! What's even more impressive is that he first summited Whitney when he was 50. Since then Jack has also successfully completed six doubles. (Portal to summit to Portal to summit to Portal.) Betsy Northam, who is now 69 years old, first summited when she was 9 and has been to the summit 62 times!

Are these professional mountain climbers you wonder? Nope! They're your average folks. Jack is a roofing contractor and former Associate Head Coach at Point Loma Nazarene University. Betsy is the Receptionist/Events Assistant for the Department of Music at Point Loma Nazarene University. Jack and Betsy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Whitney summit last August 2018.

What's their secret? Do you have what it takes to do it too? Come find out! FREE!
