EVENT: Trekking Russia & Mt. Elbrus--Free!

Posted by Adventure 16 | 12.19.2016

Russia, who wants to go to Russia, you’ll never come back!  Even nowadays Americans envision Russia as a suppressed country dominated by the KGB in a restricted, cold, and dark environment.  But quite the opposite is true for average traveler, where the dramatic Russian architecture comes alive in the palaces, churches and museums, and will exceed most peoples expectations for International travel. With its rich fascinating history, and beautiful scenery Russia is ready for the adventuresome soul.

The Mt. Elbrus trek include’s stops in St. Petersburg (the Venice east) with all it’s canals and palaces, and the dynamic capital of Moscow. The spectacular Red Square stands alone in its architecture and is surrounded by the Kremlin, St. Basil church, Lenin’s tomb and open air shopping malls that are connected by an elaborate subway system.
Experience with adventure trekker Jerry Trust, what it was like to climb one of the seven summits, Mt. Elbrus at 18,510’, a magnificent peak in the stunning Caucasus Mountains. The Caucasus Mountains feels like a combination of the Alps, and Sierras, loaded with snowy peaks, valleys, and rivers. Come hear his talk about this incredible experience in this unique foreign country, and his summit of one of the great peaks of our planet. Jerry has pictures of past and present glacial change in that region and will discuss how one can give back to those less fortunate by raising funds.
