When people think of winter ski trips to Canada, thoughts run to taking the black diamond runs down Lake Louise or Sunshine ski resorts in the Canadian Rockies.   But wait, why not slow down a bit, see some wild life, avoid the lift lines and expensive lift tickets.

Cross country skiing in Banff is a beautiful experience in the rugged Canadian Rockies where you can quietly glide along well tracked trails.

You will be in a winter wonder land while enjoying winter activities such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice walking or even hiking in the snow.  I'll show you how easy it is to get to the ski trails in Banff, find excellent restaurants, bed and breakfasts and relax in the steaming Banff Springs thermal pool after a day in the cold. Plus I'll provide some brief tips for photographing in winter. There is more to Banff than just the annual film festival.  The scenery will knock your socks off!
