EVENT: Antarctica Slideshow & PresentationPosted by adventure 16 | 11.25.2016
Elisa Kotin is wholeheartedly an adventure traveler and mostly enjoys soaking up culture by experiencing daily life with locals, singing and dancing with kids and learning about daily customs! Elisa has explored 80+ countries across all 7 continents.
Most recently, Elisa spent an incredible month venturing through and hiking around Easter Island followed by 21 days at sea visiting the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the driest, coldest and windiest place on Earth - Antarctica!
Elisa will share with us this last great wild frontier. The bottom of the earth, the Great White Continent, a land mass as big as the USA, Antarctica is the least populated continent on the planet, where penguins, seals and birds are the only Permanent Residents. A few scientists doing research are assigned temporary basis annually. Kayaking Antarctica proved to be everything she hoped for as whales neighbored the kayaks and whale tails waived in the air spanning longer widths than the kayak. Elisa poured a whiskey toast on the grave of the Great Sir. Ernest Shackleton & followed some amazing footsteps. Come join us for a great slideshow and hear stories that will inspire you to visit. Learn about the gear you will need to make this journey safe and comfortable. You will also learn how you can make this great journey!
