Andrea on canyon trail

Thankful for my A16 hat this weekend keeping me out of the sun!

Had a great time hiking the Canyon, once again! This was my 8th time taking part in this yearly family tradition and third time hiking the Tanner Trail specifically. It was definitely a warm weekend, but jumping in the Colorado River always makes it worth it!

in the cold river

So cold but so worth it.

My favorite pieces of gear on this trip had to be my Patagonia light weight capilene long sleeve (which served great as a sunshirt), my Osprey Aura AG 65, and most importantly my MSR AutoFlow Gravity filter.

Stoked to share old places with new friends.

Getting to see the unfathomable amount of stars of the Milky Way and gorgeous sunrise while hiking out had to be the highlight of the trip for me, along with getting to share all this with some friends who had never been to the Canyon before.
