Winter
is the time to visit the
Tetons if pristine cross-country
ski trails and solitude are
what you’re
after. Skating beneath icy
waterfalls, camping on a
glacier, snowshoeing through
fresh powder and ice climbing
are a few of the activities
the park has to offer. Come
prepared for extreme weather,
including freezing daytime
temperatures and nights that
hit -25°F.

Many
of the park roads that are

cross-country ski trail with
breathtaking views of the

Taggart Lake parking area,
located off US 89 past the

area, follow the road north
.2 mile to Cottonwood Creek.
Leave the road and ski the
marked trail along the west
side of the creek and continue
to head north. Follow the
links below and in the Snowshoeing
sections for more resources.
