PrAna, wind power & A16

Did you know that prAna is a Southern California based company? PrAna is also an ancient Sanskrit word which is often defined as pure energy, vitality of the spirit and most notably breath. What is the breath of our planet earth? Wind! Wind generated power is a clean, renewable source of energy which produces no greenhouse gas emissions or waste products.

In 2006, prAna offset 100 percent of the energy consumption for its corporate offices, all of the homes of its full-time employees and 250 retail locations across the United States, including A16. This year, prAna’s Natural Power initiative is expected to prevent the emission of almost 17,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases – the equivalent of removing 3,667 cars off the road or protecting 57 square kilometers of forest.

A16 is proud to include our five stores and corporate offices among those retailers chosen by prAna to be powered by the wind!
