Wilderness First Responder Course: University of San Diego
Are you prepared to handle a medical emergency in the wilderness?
The course is recommended for outdoor professionals as well as outdoor recreationalists who lead adventure trips and those who are in the back-country for days or weeks and may have to care for a patient for days.
Topics covered include: Wound Management, Heat/Cold related injuries, Backcountry medicine, Stings, Bites, Altitude/Diving injuries, Spinal injuries, and much more
Dates: May 29th - June 6th
Cost: $450*
Location: University of San Diego, Outdoor Programs UC 136
Cost includes instruction, teaching/learning materials, (overheads, gear for simulations), textbooks, CPR, and other certification fees and classroom facilities. Students are responsible for their own housing and food.
